Scott in South Carolina - Hannah Calef

Scott received his Ph.D in philosophy from the University of Oregon (go Ducks!) and after teaching in New Orleans and Arkansas he is now professor and chair of the philosophy department at Ohio Wesleyan University. He has published widely in the history of philosophy, metaphysics, the philosophy of religion, bioethics, political philosophy and philosophy of popular culture.

Besides philosophy, two of Scott’s biggest passions are music and travel. His book Led Zeppelin and Philosophy was published in November 2009, and he has also published chapters in books on Pink Floyd, the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Alfred Hitchcock, South Park and the television series 24. Besides visits to most of the states in the union, Scott’s travels have taken him to every country in western Europe outside of Scandinavia, Malta, Mexico, Costa Rica, Israel, Egypt and India (where he met and fell in love with his wife, Hannah).
